AmazonWatcher Frequently Asked Questions

What is AmazonWatcher?
AmazonWatcher is a software tool that can monitor availability and price drop of the products on Amazon.com.

Is AmazonWatcher free?
AmazonWatcher is freely downloadable and freely redistributable. Please refer to the license agreement at download page.

Does AmazonWatcher contain any spyware or adware? Will my email information be collected?
AmazonWatcher is 100% clean. It does not contain any kind of spyware/adware/malware. Your email and/or any kind of personal information will NOT be collected.

Why is a "Not yet released" item shown as "in stock" in AmazonWatcher?
Well, as long as the item is available for pre-order on Amazon.com, it is guaranteed to be available on the release date. So technically it is in stock, since it can be ordered NOW.

Does AmazonWatcher check price information of third-party items?
No, currently AmazonWatcher only checks items that are sold by Amazon. In the future we might add support for third-party items.

Why did automatic purchasing fail?
To make automatic purchasing work, your Amazon's 1-Click setting needs to have a default shipping address with a credit card associated with it (No, you don't have to turn on the 1-Click ordering feature). To test if your account has it, just place an item into the cart and check out. If after you log in, you are immediately brought to the last ordering step with order summary, then you are all set. Otherwise, if you are brought to the shipping address selection page, the automatic purchasing may not work.
